Marmite's got more to it than simply great taste - it's one of the richest sources of B vitamins you'll find anywhere, completely vegetarian, has virtually no fat and is very low in sugar. It's even been listed as a "wonder food".
Yeast is already known to be a natural source of B Vitamins which includes - thiamin, riboflavin, niacin and folate. But Marmite is made from yeast extract which is four or five times more concentrated than yeast, making it even healthier. When you consider that Marmite also has Vitamin B12 and Iron, we're raising a nation on some pretty amazing stuff...

Thiamin, Riboflavin and Niacin
Thiamin, Riboflavin and Niacin all have a key role to play in converting food to energy for your body to use. Thiamin (B1) also helps to keep your nervous system working properly. We need Riboflavin (B2) for the development and repair of tissues (including the skin and eyes) and for growth. Niacin (B3) helps your body's cells function as they should and make use of the other nutrients that you feed your body.
Folate
Folate helps to form red blood cells, produce enzymes and other body proteins. This is especially important before/during pregnancy - you could say that Marmite is good for kids from day one ...
Vitamin B12
This helps maintain your red blood cells. B12 is only found in animal products (eg meat, eggs, fish and dairy products) so vegetarians need to look for alternative supplies of B12, like Marmite.
Iron
Among other things, iron promotes mental development - e.g. Marmite is great brain food.
