Invite your friends over to watch the All Blacks and impress them with this legendary Marmite munch.
You will need:
- 8 slices of thick, wholegrain bread
- Marmite
- Tasty or Cheddar cheese, grated
Lightly toast bread before spreading a nice, thick layer of Marmite on each slice. Top each slice with a heap of grated cheese and place under the grill until cheese is golden brown and bubbling. Serves 4. Incredibly popular, especially when the AB's win.
Marmite on Toast
You will need:
- 2 slices of fresh wholegrain bread (Vogel's is perfect)
- Marmite
- Butter or margarine
It sounds really simple, but there is an art to it. Toast the bread until crispy and golden, and have the butter on your knife ready to spread as soon as the toaster has popped. Spread the butter nice and evenly, but quickly so that you get some good meltage happening. Not too much or the toast goes soggy. Then spread Marmite all over it, right to the edges, and munch it while it's hot. Perfect. Then repeat (2 slices is never enough).
